Maintain, and contribute to the future direction of, the convention website and its systems.
Work with design-minded team members to ensure the site approachability, accessibility, and theming.
Implement updates in the months leading up to the con, and help with bug fixes during the con should they arise.
Collaborate with other team and staff members to keep things running smoothly.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of additional libraries (e.g. Tailwind CSS), frameworks (e.g. Svelte, Astro), and languages (e.g. TypeScript) are considered a plus. An understanding of responsive design, i18n, and accessibility principles. Experience with git. Experience with CI/CD workflows (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) are a plus. Prior experience with design tools (e.g. Figma) is considered a plus.
You’ll work alongside a few other techy creatures who care about structure, naming things properly (or ironically), and helping the rest of the team not break things by accident.
